Sunday School Treat

This last Saturday Alyssa and Lauren got to spend a few hours playing with Adelynn at papa and grandma's house. Lauren just LOVES anyone smaller than her and being the 'mother'. Adelynn was quite content exploring her grandparents house, especially going up and down the stairs, over and over and over...... Alyssa was very busy making things out of colored paper and Scotch tape.

Sunday afternoon was our Sunday School Treat. While Lauren couldn't sit still for a moment during the entire program, we still managed to watch Alyssa's class say their verses and sing their songs. Alyssa memorized "rejoice in the Lord alway" and said it loud and clear into the microphone. Good for you Alyssa! Later the kids all enjoyed pizza and ice cream brownie sundaes with lots of sauce on top.
The kids always look forward to the candy bags and Lauren was so excited to show everyone. She was happy to show, but if anyone took the bag from her she gave them an evil eye. Once we got home, she devoured about a third of it until we took it away. Alyssa likes to save it and make it last as long as possible. Alyssa will have one more year in this class before moving up to the older kids. Hard to believe because she is by far the tallest in the class, but not the oldest.
Sorry for not flipping the picture. Damaris froze at the mic and then nicely recovered to say her verse.

I wonder what Alyssa is thinking here...

Issac always makes us laugh! He was a miniature of his father all dressed up in his suit and tie.

  1. So fun! My kids just did theirs too... so proud of them all! I remember quaking in my shoes---hated every minute of it. Love how tall Alyssa is, I think Kiki is headed in that same direction. Double her height at two, she will be 6'1''. It's gonna be interesting to see how close that measurement ends up being.

  4. I sat 2 people away from you @ the treat and still didn't say hi. Sorry for that, and HI anyway! The kids did a great job and mine are still eating their candy.
