Happy Birthday Jason, From Your Kiddies

Last Saturday night, we had Jason and Abby R's kids over for a photo session to surprise their daddy with for his birthday. Aunti Lori had them all spiffied up with a new shirt for T and a new outfit for L. Little L had something going on with her and so she wasn't terribly happy, but with the help of her very special big brother, we mananged to get some good shots.

The first time trying the plexiglass under a real person. With the lighting at that time of night and my flash, I didn't get the brighter reflection I was hoping for, but it still had a neat effect. Something to play around with to figure out how to best get a mirrored reflection.

Fun props!

Looking dapper, T-man!

Thanks for coming by and doing such a good job. The girls would like you back sometime for a playdate too!

Portrait Sittings Part 2

Here is a sampling of more of the photoshoots I have had during the last several months. The top picture was more or less an experiment using plexiglass and creating a reflection. I haven't been able to try it out on a real model yet.

R was a sweet young lady with a beautiful smile.

N was a doll who was so patient with all the poses and props. This one has an old paper/old photo filter effect.

One of my favorites of her!

Babies give such funny expressions sometimes.

All the kids together.

Portrait Sittings Part 1

Here are a few photos taken during the last several months of friends and neighbors. All of the older teens are taken outside around the Gresham area and all of the kids photos are taken from my home, mostly using natural light. I have many more I want to post, so will try to get them up this week.

Old Photo Paper Filter Effect. B was very fun and full of many great expressions!

Beautiful brown eyes!

M.R. senior photo shoot in Vancouver, Washington on a rainy day.

M.S., a little guy from across the street. M. did really well, but was more interested in playing upstairs with the toys, especially since he knew where to find them :-)

M. with his sister C. She is a little doll!

I "heart" baby feet!

Two week old little girl.

Another neighbor, C., who spent an afternoon at three locations to do her senior photos. She was a great model!

One of my favorites! Very cool location!

This truck had a lot of character and was a fun prop! B kindly allowed me to shoot her senior photos around her home and the farm.

Another rainy day, but we made the best of it!
