We took a Sunday afternoon drive up the mountain to Welches and Government Camp, exploring many of the beautiful leaf covered back roads. We found an area for the kids to play near the Salmon River and they had a great time throwing the leaves in the air. The colors are past their peak, but the woods were still vibrant with various fall colors.
Get ready.........
.......get set.........
............go!
Beautiful pictures, I sure miss having lots of fall color around. And I love Lauren's faces!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I thought I left a comment on your last post, but I must not have submitted it somehow. Anyway, I do remember that beach house, how fun that you found it again. Maybe you guys could buy it and relocate to the beach! :)
Beautiful pictures, that area is so neat too! We're headed to Bend area tomorrow so will maybe get to enjoy the last of the fall colors on the mountain and possibly alittle snow too!
ReplyDeleteWhat good memories! I am sad...the trees are quickly losing all their leaves. You got some awesome photos of the kids...but where are you? I never see you in the pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a daughter that used to never ever cooperate with the camera! Maybe this stage will pass. It did with ours, thankfully.
Ok lady--I command you to start using a tripod, and get yourself in some of these gorgeous pics! :-) I LOVE these pictures--they're so great!! Haha, I love Lauren's faces... as all three of the other humans in this family of mine are like that, I've learned to just go with it... who says smiles are better?! It's much more fun to have random weirdness in pictures. :-)
ReplyDeleteAutumn passes all too quickly, doesn't it! I love all the amazing colors, but they don't stay on the trees long. The leaves are so beautiful even on the ground, piled up and being tossed around. My sadness is when those colors are gone and the raindrops and dark clouds replace those amazing days of color and play. I guess we need to invest in some bright and fun rain boots, coats and umbrellas so we can still bring some sunshine into our dark winter days! I know, Naomi, I need to be in more pictures, but don't cameras add 10 pounds? :-) Just kidding! I will try to do better with that as we need more memories with mommy in the home photo albums too. And you are right, having some weirdness in a picture, such as goofy expressions, do make them more memorable! Thanks for the comments!
